Dryer won't start?

here'e the dryer information...

Whirlpool Model LGR 4634 JQ0
Serial: MK 453 1023
Type: B433 - NAT - 1206006 - FM22

When you push the start button, there's a click under the machine, but then nothing happens. The drum spins by hand, so it's not stuck.

We had 6 inches of standing water in the basement last week and this is the first time I tried to use the dryer since then.

The basement had flooded last month too, but there was no problem with the dryer then.

Any ideas (besides the water caused it? - haha)

Thanks!

Hello: hb2u

Cannot say specifically what damage likely occured, where not to which part(s). You will need to remove the front panel and inspect for water damages and rust spots. Electrical problems are very likely.

Yeah, I figured tht it was an electrical problem. Any ideas on where to start troubleshooting, or which part it may be? The dryer was not energized when the water came in if that matters. Do you know if this moel has a fuse in itt somewhere, or where I can test for continuity to see if things work?

Thanks.
