GE oven not working

Hi

I have a Ge gas range model #JGBP30DEA2WH serial #FV216804P. The top burners are working fine, and the broiler is comming on, but the oven will not heat up.

I called our gas company and they said that they do not work on appliances. Do you have any suggestions as to what parts to replace? Thankyou.

Hello: jraider

If all the controls on the selection panel are set correctly and the hot surface ignitor (HSI) does not glow, that usually indicates ignitor is burned out and needs to be replaced.

The part is available at the local appliance parts store. The listing of appliance parts dealers is list in the phone book. Take the HSI with you and the brand name, model and serial numbers to be sure they give you the correct replacement part.

The online web site for product information and or parts is at:
Once on the main page, follow the links to the appliances pages.
