propane bottle gasket?

I have a (what I think is a ) 20lb propane bottle that is full. When I hook it up to my yard heater it leaks at the handscrew connection. I looked inside the bottle's inlet to find a cracked and crappy looking rubber gasket.

OK, best solution- throw it away. Problem-the bottle is full. My landfill service would probably not be thrilled at me stuffing this in my can. I could do the bad guy thing and leave it somewhere on the side of the road. I'm not that kind of guy.

Where can I get a new gasket so I can empty this thing? Somewhere, someone has got to sell these.

Check with Propane dealers. I have also noticed that U-Haul is selling propane so they may have the gaskets also. Last place I can think of is Recreational Vehicle sales places as they often sell Propane and service the trailers and such that they sell. Good luck and Thanks for not dumping the bottle somewhere.
