I recently visited Europe and was intrigued by their extensive use of Combi-boilers to heat their homes and provide domestic hot water. Our systems here in the USA seem so much more complicated, where can I get information here about the combi boiler system. I am soon going to replace my old propane gas boiler.

Hi:tiggy

This all depends on where in the USA you live. Much of the Western part of this country has individual units where as much of the North Eastern part has the combo units.

This is due to the type of heating systems. North Eastern states use radiant floor heating, radiators, baseboard and other methods. Much of the Western states that are not subjected to snow and temperatures at or near freezing, use forced hot air heating systems.

If your house doesn't already have the type of system you like, it may not be worth the cost of installing one. Check with any of the heating companies locally for suggestions.
