We are not getting any hotwater. Checked hot water heater is 40 gal gas. The pilot is lit. Water comes out lukework. The hot water heater is less than 2 years old. Any suggestions on what the problem may be.

Hi:KNMAC
With this limited amount of information, it will not be easy to determine the exact problem. I'll have to make a few assumptions here.
I take it you have been using this water heater for the last two years and this problem has just occurred and is a problem at every faucet.
If this is the case, check the thermostat setting. Someone may have lowered the temperature setting.
If this is a problem at only one faucet or shower valve and it's a mixit-valve <has one lever to adjust the temperature> I would suspect the cartridge is wornout and replace it.
Good Luck
