Gas dryer not coming on

no power from dryer. check the start switch with meter seems ok...could it be the drive motor switch or the timer..

Hi:netnut

Yes. It could be the timer.
However, check the door safety switch.
If it's defective, the whole dryer becomes inoperate too.

If need be, unplug the dryer, bypass the switch by connecting the two leads together, <rap the well with electrical tape> and see if the dryer turns on.

If so, replace that safety switch.

thanks Tom...i was able to track it down to a broken bracket for the door safety switch...good job
