Kenmore Gas Oven will not Ignite.

I have a Kenmore Gas Oven model 665.75824001, My igniter is bad in it, I know this because after messing with the spark igniter I got it to work, but I am afraid that it was only a temporary fix. My question is that the Oven bake burner tube assembly with spark igniter are sold together. How do I replace this and is there any thing special I should know about the process.

Hello dhunch and Welcome to the Do It Yourself Web Site and my Gas Appliances topic.

I am not all that familar with a burner tube with a non removeable hot surface ignitor (HSI) or spark ignitor. However, if this is the case, unplug the appliance and remove the assembly.

Burner tube will be attached to the back wall inside the oven. The front of the burner tube secured to the front panel lip below the door inside. The wires to the HSI will have a quick disconnect at the end of them.

Take the entire assembly to any local appliance parts sote in your area. Bring the make, model and serial numbers to be sure you get an exact duplicate of the assembly or needed parts. Reassemble as found.

Problem Solved.

Thank you for your advice. It was that easy, just two screws and lift assembly out and place new one in. Thanks again.
