Kenmore stove : insulation replacement

I was given a fairly new kenmore stove, I was promised everything works great. Just one catch, they had mice and the insulation needs replaced. I just want to make sure I am doing it correctly. If anyone has any pointers or can tell me of a book that may help. Thanks[I]

Thumbs up Do It Yourself Project

Hello lilspider. Welcome to my Gas Appliances topic and our Do-It-Yourself Web Site.

My suggestion would be to visit any local appliance parts store in your are. Dealers and appliances parts stores are listed in the phone book. Purchase the insulation they sell to insure getting the correct type. Bring the make, model and serial numbers too. Helps to assure getting the correct type and amount of material needed.

Also ask for a copy of the pictorials showing exactly where the material gets installed. Do not cover up any air ventalation holes or openings. Doing so will adversely effect proper burner operation, etc.
