Gas oven won't heat in evening
#1

I have a brand new Kenmore gas range with electronic ignition. The stove top works all of the time, but the bake & broil only work during the day. Right about dinner time the oven will not turn on at all. The oven has been replaced and the second oven has the exact same problems. The gas company and plumbing company have been out to look at it and no one can figure out what is going on. Don't know if it's an oven problem or gas? The house is also brand new. I am into my fourth week of no answers, please help!

Hi: mhuff
I have never encountered the problem you discribed. That's not to say it doesn't exist.
I assume here that the stove is a seperate appliance from the oven because you stated it <the oven> has been replaced once before and still has the same problem.
If the oven is a built in, it might be there just isn't any house current to the wall plug in the evenings, for some unknown reason?
Verify the settings on the control panel are set to manual. Check any other settings there just to be sure they aren't incorrectly programed
Without first hand knowledge, <on my part> I'm just taking guesses here. Very difficult to determine the cause.
However, since it is a Sears appliance, try contacting them directly.
Kindly post back the correction findings, so we all can learn from this unusual problem.
Good Luck,
TomBartco
