Caloric Pilotless Wall Oven - Inconsistently lighting

I am having problems with this 1982 wall oven. It was working fine up until a few weeks ago when the dials got tweaked during cleaning. Now the thing doesn't work for more than 20 min. because I can't figure out how to set the dials again. I don't have an instruction manual. The timer settings say to push the Stop timer for manual operation, but that doesn't do a thing. The model number is RWP214, and the S/N is 5214131. The Amana website doesn't help me at all. I can't even make cookies or dinner! Anybody help, please.

Dials 'tweaked'

Looks like the dials were turned by accident, when gleaning the glass surfaces.

Hello: maggiesetc

An oven that does not operate for more than 20 minutes, as you stated, generally speaking, most likely has a problem unrelated to the controls simply not being set correctly. Unless the oven has a "Keep Warm" setting. Oven may be stuck in that setting, if equipped with that optional selection.

I suspect there is some other problem not related to the settings on the control panel. However, much more detailed and specific information needs to be known about the appliance from which to determine a possible cause.

What Optional Control selections are on the contol panel....?
Which one was used last time the oven worked correctly?
Pilot type? Constant burning flame, glow ignitor? (HSI) Pilot spark ignitor?

My Stupid Oven

What Optional Control selections are on the contol panel....?
Keep Warm, regular temperatures, and Broil

Which one was used last time the oven worked correctly?
If I set the clock to 12:10, the Start Time to 12:00 and the Stop Time to 9:00 I was able to use the regular temperatures and the Broiler...of course if I try that again it doesn't work.

Pilot type? Constant burning flame, glow ignitor? (HSI) Pilot spark ignitor? I'm not sure what this means.....there is no constant burning flame, and no spark. When I set the clock and the start times to same time, the pilot will glow, but that doesn't mean the oven turns on.

Here's a link to My Stupid Oven so you can see for yourself.

THANKS FOR READING

Well if the igniter glows then the circuit is energized.. Might be time to investigate the igniter amps. Do you have an amp meter or volt meter??
