Caloric gas oven will not light

I have a Caloric Gas stove, Heritage Series Model #RLD358UW. The top burners work fine. When the oven is turned on, the pilot lights, but no gas comes to the burner. What is wrong?

Hello Buddy Boy and Welcome to the Do It Yourself Web Site and my Gas Appliances topic.

One of several causes. Dirty pilot assembly which causes the pilot flame to be weak and or colored with some yellow flames. Cleaning out the pilot assembly is needed.

The pilot flame also heats an element. If the pilot flame is is all blue and hot, than the safety element it heats is defective. Replacing that element is required.

Another possible cause is a defective gas valve. The gas control valve is the part the safety element screws into and the burners tube sits on.

Retail parts dealers and appliances parts stores can also help determine what the possible problem may be based upon that specific brand and model. Bring the make, model and serial numbers. Dealers and appliances parts stores are listed in the phone book.
