(Cooktop) Gas Leak

I've detected a small gas leak (soap bubble test) where the gas line connects to the gas regulator of my cooktop (natural gas). Are the threads reversed like in a propane tank? I don't want to tighten the wrong way.

Thanks

No-- conventional threads (NPT) Do not use teflon on the adapter fitting into reg. To easy to overtighten & crack reg, causing even bigger leak. Use pipe dope ie Rector Seal #5 or any joint compound rated for nat gas
