Diverter vent on Gas Dryer - Yea or Nay?

Thinking of installing one of those indoor diverter vents on my gas clothes dryer to push some warm, humidified air back into the house when we want it - the dryer is located in an at-grade lower level of the house, near the outside wall and vented directly out side. Are these things a good idea, a bad idea or what? I've seen some web sites that say they are not a good thing anymore, but haven't explained why...

TIA

Jim

Vents on dryers are meant to be exhaused outside. I don't think you want lint or unburned gases filling your home.

All of the diverters I have ever seen say not to use them with a gas dryer. While doing this does put warm, humid air into the house, it also adds dust from the lint.
