convert gas dryer into electric??

convert gas dryer into electric??

i just moved from new jersey to north carolina and we have an electric dryer. Is there any way to convert it from a gas appliance to an electric one?

please advise

Not worth your time, effort or expense even if it were possible.

Donate it to a charity and buy one that uses the power source needed.

As Sharp said, it would be worth the trouble to do so. Just a hint of what would be involved:

Remove all of the gas workings and replace the burner with an electric element.

Switch the electric system from 120 Volts AC to 240 Volts AC.

I can't say it would be impossible to do, however, I've never heard of it being done. If it could be done, it's not a DIY project.
