Gas smell from stove and oven

Gas smell from stove and oven
My Maytag Gas stove has a smell of gas when the oven is on, or when the stove is on (tried stove and oven at different times) definitely caused by either. The stove has not been moved since it was installed in the new house 9 months ago. All burners seem to function correctly, as does the oven. The gas smell does not seem to come from behind the unit, where the regulator is. I am out of ideas as to what could cause this. The water heater, and furnace do not smell of gas.

You only have the odor when using top burnings and oven? Is there an odor if everything is off?
Also, is it running natural gas or propane?
