The most common part to go bad on a gas dryer is the hot surface igniter. The hot surface igniter is located on the burner. It can be checked with an ohm meter for resistance.

Hello Derrick. Welcome to the Gas Appliances topic and the Do-It-Yourself Web Site.

Another possibility is one of the solenoids located on top of the gas control valve is defective. Both solenoids must work or the burner will not light.

The Hot Surface (Glow) Igniter may glow for a brief time period, then shut off. The burner does not light. Cause. Second solenoid does not work. (Open)

Solution:
Replace both solenoids. Solenoids are sold and replaced in pairs. A not to difficult repair to make and the parts are not all that expensive. Solenoids are located on top of the gas valve. Complete Instructions are in the dryer sticky note.
