Gas Dryer Squeaks
I has a GE gas dryer that recently started squeaking. The unit is ~ 20 years old. The noise is high pitched and random. The dryer is still working fine, other than the noise.
Any ideas as to the surce and what I can do to eliminate?
Thanks.

Your front & rear drum bearing are probably shot.
Take unit apart-take out drum-wipe a light coat of wd-40 on bearings-put unit back together-
If noise stops replace bearings. Also, while drum is out--check rubber
wheels ( at rear of unit ) they may be past caring.
Also, check the wheel on the idler arm-if shot replace it. Ck. belt for wear.
Also, ck. that no small pieces of metal have stuck in bearings ( like part of a zipper )
Have fun..............................
