Question Can I lay down a new gas stove for moving?

I'm moving a new gas stove bought second hand from a private party about 25 miles.

Can I lay it down in the back of my small SUV? It is gas and has no moving parts that I know of.

It is recommended that they stay upright but I have placed them on the back to move them once in a while.

Be careful of the burners (caps if sealed burner and the burners themselves if conventional burner type). Additionally, if there is a bottom draw for broiler or storage, I would remove it.
