100 lb tank location
I am getting ready to install a gas range. I am all certified for all of the gas lines and electrical, but finding a code for location limits of my tank is about like finding a flea on a beach. I have a back porch area that is wide open, not near any windows or ignition sources, basically a cover slab out back. Can I place the tank on the edge of the concrete with the regulator out from under the roofline? the roof is 8ft at the area in question. I am picking this spot due to it being level and the tank will be protected from the elements.

The site you're proposing sounds good. NFPA 58 is the recognized standard for cylinder placement unless local code states otherwise.
NFPA 58 states that a cylinder being filled on site must be 3 feet away from doors, window, or ventilation intakes and must be 10 feet from any "source of ignition" being electrical sources, intake to a furnace, etc.
