Hello,
The stove pilots stay lit, the oven goes out. The flame of the pilot light in the oven is bright blue. When the oven is turned on the igniter seems to work the flame is extended and doubled in size and the oven catches. The flame remains steady and bright blue.
There is a ceiling fan in the kitchen but I cranked that up and it barely flickered the pilot. The pilot supposedly does not go out when not in use.
Why would it go out when cooking? I can't find the problem and I have a panicked woman who is getting mad at my questions about what she does while cooking....
thank-you...........

May be the burner flame is to sharp and pulls the pilot out when it shuts off. Another thing that happens is the regulator vent may be partially plugged. The reg is located where the gas enters the range.
Also be sure you don't have any foil or large cookie sheets on the oven racks that block the venting process.
