i see the maytag blower, 3-12913, but can't take it out.

I see the blower and have undone the clip, but I can't figure out how to take the blower out.

Any help would be appreciated. Is there a reason there's a new part number that supercedes the original 3-12913? I think the original part / plasic is really fragile... anyone know for a fact?

Anyone knows on average how soon I need to replace the blower? I wish they made it out of metal.

Why are you taking out blower? Dose the blower wobble on the shaft? All the blowers I know are made out of plastic for dryers. Maytag's are the only ones I know that go bad and make noise.
I assume you are where you can see the blower. Remove snap ring, Take spring clip off the shaft, Take 3 or 4 screws out of front tin peice and move out of way( careful very sharp there) Blower wheel should pull off shaft. Make sure the lint is cleaned off the front of shaft. Keep us posted on repair Tks.
PS Post model # and can check to be sure I got the right dryer.
