i have a sock sucking dryer!
i started a load drying and then pulled out the lint screen to clean it and the vacuum sucked down a sock and now it is screaming and clunking at me. i know i deserve the doofus award for this one but i don't know what to do. i tried to retreive the sock with my handy dandy lint brush that is like 4 feet long but to no avail. then i pulled the dryer away from the wall hoping it would blow it on out the vent and even tried to reach in there and find it but i don't think it has made it that far. i have seen the repairman look into the dryer tumbler through the vent holes, but even if i could see the sock i wouldn't know how to get it outa there.

Sock is likely stuck in the blower fan and will require some disassembly of the dryer. Here's a link to a previous post: http://forum.doityourself.com/applia...-my-dryer.html
