#23 of 23 by (anonymous) Mon 13 Dec '99 (11:58 PM)We have a Kenmore gas dryer that is about six years old. The
problem is a clicking sound when we try to start the dryer
and sometimes it will not spin. Later it starts right up.
There appears to be a drain on the household electricity
whenthe dryer is started. This has not happened before...ca
you advise me on what the problem might be? I am calling the
repairman in the morning. Thanks,susan

Hi Susan, I moved this from the archive section...THIS is the new board. Your problem sounds motor relaited, either the motor has gone kapluie or somehting is dragging the motor to make it use more power ( the lights going dimmer ) like the glides or bearing, belt...etc. Let us know what the tech found.
jeff,
I support M.A.D.D. Please don't drink and drive.
