Cool

Hello CRockabrand

To drain a water heater do these steps:

First:
Close the cold water inlet valve.
<It's the water pipe coming into the top right side inlet on top of the tank.>

Second:
Open two hot water sink faucets.
<This lets air enter into the tank.>

Third:
Locate the drain valve on the water heater.
<It's that small water faucet down near the thermostat. It may be behind the removable decorative cover.>

Fourth:
Install a garden hose to that drain faucet on the tank and extend the hose outside where hot water will not cause damage.

Fifth:
Open that drain faucet on the tank and out comes the water in the tank. <Air will now enter those two opened sink faucets to replace the water coming out of the tank.>

That's all there is to that.

Good Luck
