I have a Maytag LP Gas Dryer Model # D4000 (LO6 4000).
It will not light, which part do I replace? I beleive this has an electronic start.
Could you also describe what the part looks like?
Thank You Much

When you turn on the dryer you should hear two clicks. First one almost instantly, then another about one minute there after.

The first one turns on the glow coil. The second one opens the gas valve.

You can view this process by openning the lower burner access panel in the front. If the glow coil glows, that's not the problem.
It's one of the solenoids most likely.

It the glow coil fails to glow, but you heard that first click, most likely the glow coil is defective.

Check the archives in this forum regarding dryers and you will find more information on further problem possibilities, corrections, parts replacements and there locations.

Good Luck,
