Hi,

I have central gas heater from day& night (probably furnance type). It worked well last season, but this season it does not produce any heat though, when I turn it on, it starts blowing air thru the vents as usual but no heat....

Please advise to fix it.

Thanks,
Shree

Hi:shreeman

Without knowing more about your furnace, type of housing your living in <single family, condo, etc> I would think the pilot is out.

If the furnace is located inside, in the attic or garage, check to see if the pilot is on. If the unit is on a roof, skip it.

The gas valve on the heater may have a red reset button or control to reset while lighting the pilot or after lighting it.

In your area the gas utility company makes house calls. Contact them for help.

Check the achives, in this forum, for more info regarding furnace pilots and minor parts replacements.

Good Luck,
