My natural gas dryer comes on and works fine for about 10 minutes then will not light even though ignitor comes on. I have replaced the ignitor sensor and cleaned everything including the lint screen 'tunnel' with no luck. I checked the other sensors with an ohm meter and they check out as a short. Any help would be great as I am on my way to buy a new dryer....

Cool

Hi,

The coils on the gas valve are bad for working once or twice and then quiting ..they can be tested with a ohm/volt meter. The gas valve itself in another...tests and info on both are in the dryer sections...

I tested the coil that has two posts and it measures about 1.2k when its working but when the flame shuts off it reads open. (then minutes later its back at 1.2k) So it seems that this coil has a problem. What do you think? Should both coils be replaced? Thank you for your help.. Tony

Hi,

Replace both at the same time...this usually saves time and troubles later on.
