whirlpool gas range electronic display issues

i have a whirlpool gas range oven that is about 3 years old. the problem is the control panel display will not turn on/work even with the unit plugged in. circuit breaker is good, basically not a single electronic part of the stove is working, not even the igniters for the range. any troubleshooting tips would be greatly appreciated.

Hello cwhites. Welcome to the Gas Appliances topic and the Do-It-Yourself Web Site.

Kindly excuse me for this late reply. Been away.

Unplug the appliance. Remove front panel display, if that is possible or access behind it to gain access to the control board. You're looking for a fuse on the board and/or a fuse to the control panel, if there is one. ....(????)...

If no fuse found, the control board may be defective and/or a component on the board is defective. Loose connection(s) may also be possible on or at any wire connection point.

The objective here is to attempt to locate a cause for no power to the display before assuming the board is defective. The local appliance parts store in your area may be able to test the board or help determine the likely causes for the condition described.

They will need the make, model an serial numbers. Appliance parts dealers are an excellent source for original replacement parts. Dealers are listed in the phone book under appliances.

"Be sure the electrical power and the gas supply to the appliance is turned off, before attempting any repairs. Always check for gas leaks whenever the appliance is moved and/or a repair includes any connection of a gas part."
