Lube for natural gas valve

I need to lube a few natural gas valves (one on a Magic Chef stovetop and one on our natural gas fireplace) Since they have gotten a little stiff over the years.

What type of lube should I use with natural gas valves.

Thanks in advance.

graphite is the only lube that you should use for that.

Actually, there's a special gas valve grease you should be able to get at appliance or plumbing supply shops.

The stuff I used when I was a utility gas fitter was Johnson Controls Gas Valve Grease Y70AA-1.
