Question Kenmore Gas Stove

Hello All,
I have a Kenmore gas stove (model # 911-7398710) that is experiencing some issues. The gas cooktop works fine, but neither the broiler or the oven will come on. I have replaced an ignitor just a couple of years ago. Seems strange that both (bake and broil) ignitors would go at the same time. Anyone have any suggestions. I would sure appreciate any help I can get on this...new stoves are not real cheap.

Thanks for any help,
Matt

Hello Matt. Welcome to the Gas Appliances topic and the Do-It-Yourself Web Site.

First suggestion is to check for any fuse that might exist. Might be one. Usually, but not always, located on the back of the appliance but also may be in the oven below the bottom cover, etc.

Second suggestion would be to check for A/C current at the end of the wire terminals that plug into the HSI. When control panel selection is made and ON, should be current at the wire terminal end. Us a volt ohm meter to test for electrical current.

Unplug appliance first. Test for wire and terminal continuity also. May be a defective terminal, wire and/or terminal end quick disconnect.

Safety Reminder Note:
BE SURE the appliance is UNPLUGGED while testing for continuity.

Retail appliance parts dealers can also help determine what the possible problem may be also. They will need the make, model an serial numbers. Appliance parts dealers are an excellent source for original replacement parts. Dealers are listed in the phone book under appliances.
