GE dryer will not start

I have a GE gas dryer that will not start. When I turn the ON button, I only hear a hum, no rotation.

I took the back off the dryer and slipped off the drum belt - the motor still won't turn. It won't turn when I try to spin the shaft by hand either. I'm thinking the motor seized.

I'll be taking the motor out to investigate further, and see whether it's corrosion or something else.

I don't care for the newfangled dryers being marketed today. I think the old stuff is better. Does it make sense repairing this old dryer if the motor seized? Where is a good place to shop for a motor? Should I get the old motor rebuilt?

Dryers are dryers new almost same as old ones. There is not a energy efficient dryer. If condition of dryer is good I would put a motor in it. Check to see something is not jammed in blower wheel. I wpould do a Google search for dryer motors and see best price.
