GAS DRYER

Question

I HAVE A ROPER GAS DRYER THAT HAS STOPPED DRYING.IT TURNS ON TUMBLES AND THE GAS FIRES UP BUT IT TAKES 2-3 TIMES AS LONG TO DRY THINGS.ANY IDEAS?

Lightbulb Exhaust Restricted.

Hi:B.COOKE

The condition you discribed is most likely a plugged or restricted exhaust vent. You'll have to remove the exhaust tubing from the rear of the dryer and clear it.

Also verify it's clear all the way to the end, which is to the vent outside the house. You may need to replace the exhaust vent too.

Read the archives for this appliance, in this forum, for other least likely problems for this condition and alternate possibilites to those conditions.
