can an old stoves cooker be repaired?

Hi ,
i have a very old stoves cooker, probably from around the 30's40's that has a few leaks, when one of the burner on the hob are turned off there is a small leak, even though the tap is turned completely off. Can the valves be replaced or repaired? Or is there a company that can do the repair?
I would really like to keep this cooker as it looks and works great apart from the leaks.

You'll have to tell us what a cooker is (deep fat fryer, grill, griddle?). The make and model number would also help. Worst case try posting a picture. Is the leak a liquid from the cooker or a gas leak? Generally valves can be replaced or repaired but it depends on what you have.
