Kenmore Gas Stove/ Oven Not working. Oven section.

Stove seems to work fine. Gas oven won't work
Kenmore Model 362-7526890 gas stove. Stovetop burner's turn on with no problem. Oven does not react at all after turning knob; no sign of gas coming in. Ignitor doesn't seem to work either. Any chance this could be the oven thermostat or even the knob mechanism?
Glow bar igniter doesnt seem to be working at all? however its a bt pricey at cost 100 bucks.
So customer( I am doing a carpentry job for her and helping her out with the oven) is a little wary of investing in this part and not being the problem. I was directed to check for continuity on this part. so if I get no continuity that means the part is faulty???
Thanks for any and all help.

Yes.....you need to check that part for continuity. Make sure range is unplugged.
The ignitor should also be unplugged when checking continuity.

Using the Rx1 scale you should see at least a half scale movement.

Usually you can see a defective ignitor. It will have a burned spot or blackened area.

That is probably the only problem. Fairly common failure part.
When replacing with new part....handle with care.....very fragile.

Part # 218 in parts pictorial

Actual part # WB2X9154
Google the part number for different parts suppliers. Prices vary greatly on this part.
