Whirlpool gas dryer not starting. humming sound when pressing start button.
Hello,
My whirlpool dryer model # LHI5801W0 stopped working today after a large load of towels. It seemed to have finished drying the load but hasn't worked sinced then.
I've opened up the back the dryer and checked continuity on the thermostats and thermal fuses they seem fine.h
The door switch, timer, and start button seem fine too. with the door open and pressing the start button nothing happens. Bugt with the door closed pressing the start button gives out some kind of humming sound but the motor doesn't budge at all.
What do you guys think? Is my motor dead?

Reach inside and turn drum by hand, If turns you have a bad motor, If does not turn Something is frozen , Rollers or something stuck in blower, Usually motor is bad.
