Post Thermocouple? Caloric

My friend has a Caloric RLP 354 UD stove. The oven had not been used for over 30 years. The pilot lights, but doesn't stay on. I've located a thermocouple [$50], but since it's not returnable, I'm wondering after all this time, could the problem be in the control valve?
I can provide pictures if it would help.

Welcome to the forums.

I couldn't find any info on the model you listed. I did find some info on the RLP-351.

The link is from an older thread here in the forum.
