Hi: FERNANDO1

Hello and welcome to the gas appliances forum and the DoItYourself web site...

Since your dryer is only 8 years old, it will not have a pilot lite. It will have a glow coil ignition.

You haven't supplied me with enough detailed and specific information as to why you need to lite the dryers pilot. I have to assume it doesn't heat up inside the drum. I'll offer you what help I can from the information provided.

If you just connected it, the gas is on and the appliance is plugged in, set all the controls on the control panel, turn the timer to timed dry and fire it up.

If it is not newly installed or recently moved and it fails to dry, check the control panel settings.

Open the burner access door panel, turn the dryer on an see if the glow coil is lighting up. If not, check the archives within this forum for more information on the topic.
