Just wondering why you can buy several gas or electric ranges for the cost of one duel fuel range (gas burners, electric oven).

I think it's volume. Dual fuel is a lower volume product.

No 120 volts. A duel fuel range requires both gas and 240 volts.
They're expensive because of the components, and usually are high-end products to start with.
Duel Fuel, True Convection Ovens, Convection Slide-in's, typically cost more.

I would not call it a 240/120V circuit, I may be wrong. I would call it 240V.
The oven's internal wiring would use the neutral and one hot where 120V is needed, such as display and igniters.
Also, Very High-End Ovens may have a "true" convection function. This would be both gas and electric within oven cavity. Best way to cook. The gas would heat oven and convection fan is heated with electric. Restaurant quality.
