Gas cooktop phantom starter
I have a Thermador SGC365RW 5-burner gas cooktop. Whenever I light Burner 1, the starter for burner 4 repeatedly sparks. This lasts as long as the gas is turned on for Burner 1. It's not reciprocal: i.e., when I start 4 there is no spark on 1. No damage done, but it's annoying and shouldn't happen.
Is it fair to assume that something is arcing inside the box? Or, do I just replace the starter on 4?
Don't know much about how these things work.
Any help is appreciated.

When you turn on burner 4...... does burner 4 light correctly ?
If yes.... it would appear to be a spark module problem.
The service info for your model shows four burners with a four burner spark module. The parts companies show several possible spark modules and they are six burner with relight function.

Hi, Pete. Thanks a lot for helping me out.
I am sending pictures: the cooktop in question, and the Model Number. I have noticed that Thermador lists a lot of things under this model number, and most of them are not the appliance I have.
Anyway, the burner in the top center is the one that sparks when it shouldn't. It works perfectly on its own.
Your thoughts? Thanks again.
