Cleaning/Removing Exterior Dryer Vent
Our dryer has started throwing a code that we need to clean out the vent. I have removed the vent piping from the back of the dryer and cleaned out as far back as my arm and the shop vac can reach. I'd like to try cleaning from where it exits the house, however, I'm not sure how to remove this vent cover. Here are photos:

The photos are a little grainy as I need to crawl under the porch to get to it, my apologies. Underneath the flap is a screen.

I think the vent is the type that is one piece molded onto the pipe that goes through the wall. I don't think you can remove the outside part. Can you get to it at the inside wall? If you can there might be screws at the pipe joint that you can remove. I think then the entire vent and attached pipe can be slid out from outside. Or you could just vacuum both ways into the pipe from that joint.
Without removing it if you can open the flap and can see the screen inside, you might be able to use a crevice tool on your vac to suck out any lint caught behind the screen. I was able to do that once when lint built up behind the small holes inside my dryer drum. It just took a lot of moving the crevice tool in a "scrubbing" motion across the holes.

Should not be a screen under flap, it will clog all the time. Remove screen, can you get to the other side of vent? That vent should just pull out of wall ma5 have screws on outside. Vent tube may be clamped inside. How far from dryer is outside? Post model# some dryers have a belt that comes off blower and will fhrow code. Pull dryer out from wall and disconnect vent from back, turn dryer on and feel air flow reconnect vent go outside and feel air flow should be same. If no air flow let us know and can help more
