Viking Griddle on Viking Stove Keeps Coming On By Itself
So sorry for posting this to the wrong forum thread...this was my first post to the DIY forums. I posted it to the correct forum now.
I have a Viking Gas Stove (4 burner with griddle) that uses propane. I recently left it on for an extended amount of time on low to use for canning purposes. Ever since I used it that way one side of the griddle keeps coming on periodically and then it will go back off again if I leave it alone. Also, if I turn the temp up on that side for a minute or two then the griddle will go off when I turn the dial back to the off position. Does anyone know of a possible fix that we might be able to do ourselves?
Thanks in advance for any assistance with this issue!

Welcome to the forums.
You have a Viking stove with four burners and a griddle
What exactly did you leave on for an extended amount of time ?
Running a burner, on low, for an extended period should not cause any damage.
You're saying that without turning any burner knobs on that the griddle flame will come on by itself ? Then it will go back off by itself ?
I have no immediate answer for you but it sounds like possibly the griddle gas valve is defective.
