Dryer only starts with door switch bypassed.
I have an Admiral Capacity Plus gas dryer. Model is unimportant. I replaced a broken blower cage, and unfortunately responsive door switch. The dryer still will not start unless I bypass the door switch and connect the two leads. At that point everything functions as normal. Reconnect the door switch and nothing again. The new door switch is responsive, everything else seems to be testing fine. I do not know how to test the timer control switch. But it it starts by that switch with the leads connected then it should be that controll knob. Any ideas?

Welcome to the forums.
If you bypass the door switch and the dryer works properly then the switch is defective.... old or new.
