Hi. I have a 2 yr old Hotpoint dryer model NVLR333EVOWW
that isn't hot anymore. (gas) Does anyone know the part number of the heater element (if that's what's wrong). I'm handy and don't have the money for a repairman to come, so I'm hoping to this myself for my family.

Hello Linda and Welcome to the Do It Yourself Web Site and my Gas Appliance forum.

The glow coils exact part number really isn't needed.

Write down the make, model and serial numbers of the dryer and stop into your local appliance retail parts store. The coil is available and a common replacement part.

What I have to assume here is the coil isn't lighting up. You can verify this by removing the front trap door panel. Then turn the dryer on and listen for the first click.

Shortly thereafter you should hear a second click and the glow coil should begin to light up. If not, could be defective solenoids.

Be sure all the selector controls are set correctly prior to verifying that the glow coil is working.

Check within the recent archives, of this forum, for more information on this topic of non working dryers.

Regards & Good Luck
