Whirlpool oven popping when off
Hi,
I have a Whirlpool gas range m/n WFG510SOAW2. The oven makes a popping noise when it's turned off. I know it's supposed to pop while running but it's off. My electric bill seems higher too.
Any ideas?

That appears to be just a gas stove...... not combo gas/electric. That means it should use very little electric to operate.
The oven is popping.... is that just after it's shut off ?
Does it just do it once and then stop ?
Does seem like it takes a while to preheat ?
It should not be popping during use either.

I figured out what it is, I'm such a dumb-a**. There's a vent hood above the range, it has a flapper that closes when not in use. Today was windy and the flapper was moving back and forth creating the noise. It sounds exactly like when the oven is turning the gas on and off to maintain the temperature.
