We went to use our oven this morning, and it won't heat up. The stove works just fine. We actually cooked in the oven on Friday, but this morning it won't work. THought maybe a pilot was out, so my husband tried lighting it and it is if there is no gas getting to oven at all. It is a Tappan stove/oven. Any suggestions.

Cool

Hi,

Is the oven a pilot flame....or a glow bar system that glows red/white??

If a "real" flame pilot won't light...possible the pilot assy is dirty and needs a cleaning...make sure the sensor bulb is in the bracket correctly and the pilot flame can touch the sensor bulb...make sure the clock assy is on manual and not auto ( not on all models )

If a glow bar system ( no pilot flame )...see if the glow bar is comming on or sitting there dead...let us know.

jeff.
