Question Kitchen Aid gas oven door light switch

Model KGST307HBS8 ser#Imm2956346
I broke the door light switch by slamming the door [ moron] it is inside the stove. And the light stays on.
Top burners working, but oven bake/broil will not. How can I get to the switch which is inside the unit.? What do I have to take apart?
Or can I disconnect it from the touch pad circuit board.
Can not find any wiring diagram on the web.
New switch is ordered, will be here next week [5 6 16 ]
Thanks

Wow... that is one of the pricier door switches I've seen.

While I investigate further.... you may be able to fish the switch out with a fish line or thin coat hanger. Try to grab the wire. Once you have the wire you should be able to pull it gently and get it to unplug from the switch. Let the old switch drop into the oven.

Be sure unit is unplugged before trying this.

Actually... the wiring diagram is with the unit. Sometimes you pull out the drawer and it's in or above there. Other times it's on the back of the appliance or inside the back cover.

PJ Thanks I fished out the switch wires. As you recommended. The door switch is odd [ I'm real handy at some electronics] It works in reverse of what I thought. Wires disconnected the light is still on and touch pad light switch does not turn off the lights.
When connected them together [ checked with a meter first, got like 7.5 volts] Key pad light switch works fine. Thanks again. Next is going to the Touch pad
Code F2 E3. , then will reset itself after a minute or so. Hit cancel and bingo it works. Once I got code F2 EO. Again it cleared itself.

That is correct. You'd need to short the switch contacts to simulate closed door.
