Butter spilled over stove top
My GF spilled melted butter onto a lit stove top, and now it will not light.
I was unable to see any clogs in the holes that may explain the inability to light up. What else may be wrong?
The stove does not use a pilot light.
Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thank you.

I moved your thread to the gas appliance forums.
Does the burner light with a match ?
If no..... the orifice is clogged. It's a little pinhole where the gas comes out. Lift the burner cap and burner. Look down.... you'll see the orifice. A little straight pin should clean it out.

Might be ignition holes up the side of the burner that are clogged. Usually there are 3 or 4 ignition holes. All must be cleared. Only takes one to cause a lack of burner ignition.
Kindly clarify where the holes are? Can provide better advice if we knew where the holes (ports) where exactly. Thanks. If the clogged holes are ignition ports (holes) clear them with a pin. Once cleared burner should light.
