Stove burners not working correctly
I have a Tappan Millennia stove. The two front burners are not working right. They are difficult to start and don't reach full flame anymore. The low and high settings are basically the same and there's no graduation of the flame as I turn the dial. The power burner won't even boil water. The two back burners are working fine.

A typical problem is that something may have overflowed and got into the burners partially clogging the orifices.
You should be able to lift the burner caps off to get to the orifices and clean them.
A small paperclip or sewing needle can be used to clean the tiny hole.

Not typical burners
This isn't the typical range I've seen before. The burners are just floating on the ends of the gas lines. I pushed gently on the power burner and it sank into the stove. Had to pry the top off and fortunately could get it back up. But I can't figure out what's causing this. When I turn it on, it sounds like a loud hiss, like boiling water - with nothing on it of course.

The orifice is the tiny hole in the middle of the burner.
Can't tell from the picture.... is it fully open ?

It looks open
It must be if it's able to light at all; maybe blocked a little. Could take a proxa brush to it, but that might push whatever in further. Took a shop vac to it. Is that a jet that I can take out?
