Ge gas oven won't light

Model # JGBS07PEH1WW . So Igniter won't light, no continuity ,have ordered. If I have to splice ,told to use porcelin wire nuts-so what gauge? My second problem is MAYBE the Thermastat not good, cause I changed out the Igniter several months ago, perhaps ran too hot otherwise what burns out a Igniter that fast? Getting back to Thermastat. How do you check them? I undid the senser in the oven so it was hanging not touching.put the dig meter on the 2 male prongs at the switch(Stove/oven unplugged from the wall of course) did'nt get any continuity,he'll I don't know how to test it

If the igniter has no continuity... that's your problem. There are a whole slew of off shore imported igniters that are of poor quality. You should be able to get yours replaced. Most places give a one year warranty as long as it's not physically cracked. Small ceramic wire nuts can be used for the splice.

I wouldn't mess with the sensor unless it's a known problem.
