Outdoor kitchen with propane BBQ grille

Hello, I built an outdoor kitchen around my brothers propane BBQ grille and I have never built one before so I have a few safety questions before I allow him to use it. I have been told since finishing the wood work that there are a couple safety things I need to do so rather then go off opinions I thought maybe someone on here can give me professional advice for anything I need to add or change before having the final exterior finish added. Any help is greatly appreciated...I’ll post pictures of it in a second

Is there a propane tank or a propane gas line running to the grill?

If there is a tank, it should be readily accessible. If there is a gas line, there should be a shut off valve readily accessible.

How do you catch the grease drippings? Is there a removable tray?

That's a lot of wood outside. How do you plan on protecting it from the elements?

You need to make sure nothing flammable is near or touching the BBQ.
Fresh air needs to be allowed in for the burner.

My brother plans on tiling the outside. I’m still going to put a couple vents on the lower part of 3 sides just so it has ventilation so any excess propane cannot be trapped. I have seen several people build them with same setup so just seeing if I need to coat the plywood walls with anything on the inside before putting decorative design on outside

I hate to be the first one to say it, but this has got to be one of the most dangerous things I have ever seen suggested on this site. About any grill you buy will have this warning:

"Minimum clearance of 12 inches from the back and sides of the grill to adjacent combustible construction must be maintained. This outdoor cooking gas appliance shall not be located under overhead unprotected combustible construction. "

ILLUSTRATION

but somehow wrapping a grill in plywood is okay? Sorry, I'm not buying it. Don't care if others have done it... doesnt matter if its wrapped in tile... doesn't make it right.

Edit: did you build this out of fire rated plywood?
